Cultivated strictly according to the rigorous ecological Naturland guidelines, the microalgae are nourished using organic, purely plant-based nutrients. Furthermore, unlike conventional Chlorella (which can be difficult to digest due to a tough cellulose cell wall), Sanatur gently cracks the outer cell walls of its Chlorella under vacuum pressure (Unterdruck) during the drying process. Typically, mineral supplements are made by artificially adding synthetic mineral salts to a formula or powder after harvest. Sanatur uses a completely different, natural approach. On their partner farm in Taiwan, the microalgae are nourished with specialized, targeted feeds rich in specific trace elements during their active growth phase.
Because living microalgae are highly adaptive, they naturally absorb these trace elements and organically integrate them directly into their cellular protein matrix.
